UNITED NATIONS

As of late, the discussion roaming the United States of America has been about the stock market resembling a Six Flags rollercoaster. The country looking gloomy as ever in about several decades. Sometimes even though things look bad, there are a few bright spots. I recently reacquainted with a friend and an big idol of mine, Geoff Rickly. We shared many stories but the one that caught my ear was about a band. A band I have heard of many years but never actually heard music from. The band was called United Nations.

The identity's of the band are covered by the Reagan Masks.

Rumors circulated of a new band created by Geoff Rickly of Thursday and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw/Head Automatica in 2005. Finally in September 2008, the band released their Self-titled Debut on Eyeball Records. Due to contract issues, the identity of the band could not be unveiled with the exception of Rickly because Thursday is currently not under any contracts.

Prior to the release of the album, the band previewed the entire album on Myspace.com. As the word spreaded, the number of views and plays increased by the day. Please check out this project, you can sense the different genres blended into this grindcore band.
